Words are powerful!

Have you ever thought about the super power that words might have?

I mean every word can express love, hate, it can hurt, persuade and more… But why do they influence or interpret our thoughts?

The book “L’Italiano e’ bello” by Mariangela Galatea Vaglio can be taken as an example in  the explanation of the word rhetoric which obviously paid my attention.

Our everyday chats…

Hello! My dear readers,

I would like to start today’s article with a simple question: Is it only me who thinks that our smartphone rules our daily basis? If you think about it carefully we don’t even need to use the computer anymore because the smartphone with its applications and the most famous social medias allows us to do a whole lot of things in the “right here and now”!!! We can simply chat with friends all over the world, in fact while we chat with our friends and family, since we live in a “time” where we want do so many things at a time and we want to do them fast, it happens that we tend to cut the words in order to buy us some time.

They came back home!

Words travel all around the world and after so many decades they come back home. I am still reading the book “L’Italiano e’ bello” by Mariangela Galatea Vaglio and I would like to share this article with you because it got my attention. There are many words that we use and that we think have anglo-saxon origin, but instead are latin. So despite we think that we loan these said words from another language, we are actually using them  properly because they are from latin, our mother language!
